Rush Select 02G are Champions in Phoenix

Congratulations to Karima Rangel and Rush Select 02G on their championship at SC del Sol President's Day Tournament in Phoenix. Rush Select is designed to give top players in individual clubs the opportunity to play on elite national teams at high level events both domestic and international. Karima is a high school junior on our Quad Cities Rush 2000 Girls team. Rush Select 02G defeated Washington Rush 2002 by a score of 2-0; Rush Select tied FC Tuscon 1-1; Rush Select defeated Minneapolis United 1-0 and advanced to the Championship on the goal by Karima. Rush Select defeated Rio Rapids SC, the #2 team in New Mexico in penalty kicks 1-0. Congratulations on the Championship! The SC del Sol President's Day Cup is one of the largest tournaments in the country, hosts some of the highest level soccer in the nation and is watched by over 300 college coaches. Great job Karima.
