What is the WPSL?

The Women's Premier Soccer League (WPSL) is a national league or system designed for talented women players destined for college, professional or international careers. The league is a perfect complement to any female players' yearly club play as it provides superior training and highly competitive games. For more information on the WPSL click here!

What type of players play on the WPSL team?
Quad Cities Rush WPSL team is looking for post graduate players that want a more competitive environment than local adult leagues provide, current college players that want to develop as a player to stand out on their college team, top level high school players that want the challenge of training and possibly playing games against top level players from around the mid-west.

What "region" will the WPSL team play in?

There are close to 90 clubs throughout the USA that compete annually for a National Championship. Quad Cities Rush will be assigned to a conference after the Expansion teams are announced and placed into conferences. For more information on the WPSL conferences click here!

When does the WPSL Season run?

The season consists of approximately 8-16 games. The majority of games are played during the late-spring into summer (May-August). The National Championship is held August. 

Can I play with Quad Cities Rush in the WPSL and retain my college eligibility?

Yes. The WPSL is an amateur league, affiliated with the United States Adult Soccer Association. A team is considered amateur as long as no players are getting paid to play. However, players may receive reimbursements for actual and necessary expenses. Rule 12.02.4.

What is the youngest age group allowed to participate in WPSL and Quad Cities Rush?

Quad Cities Rush will tap into our top local high school players as their youngest participants. These players will have the opportunity to showcase their skills and ability to colleges and universities across the USA.  

Where will the team’s practice and play games?

Training will take place at the Rush Fields at the Green Valley Soccer Complex. Training will be a minimum of twice per week from May – August. (depending on game schedules).  Home games will generally take place at  St. Vincent's Athletic Complex, 620 W. Central Park, Davenport, IA 52804, unless another venue is approved by WPSL.

How many players will be selected to play for Quad Cities Rush WPSL?

A group between 22-40 players may be selected. Ideally we will have a First Team of 20 - 22 which will compete for game day roster spots and a Reserve Team of 10 - 12 that will train and compete against the First Team. A maximum of 18 players may be selected for the game day roster. Reserve Team players may be asked to fill game day roster spots depending on performance at training as well as roster availability. The rosters will be managed by the Quad Cities Rush Coaching/Training Staff.

What uniforms will the Quad Cities Rush WPSL team wear?
 
Each player will wear the club’s Capelli uniform, with the WPSL logo on the left sleeve. 
 
How will transportation to away games be coordinated?

The Quad Cities Rush WPSL Director will determine travel methods for each away game and communicated to players in advance.
