COMPETITIVE PROGRAM REFUND POLICY

The competitive program has a stringent refund policy because a player’s acceptance has the effect of denying another player an opportunity to play on a competitive team. Additionally, costs accrue to the Club for services provided to the team based on player headcount. Accordingly, fees are not refundable and not transferable. Fees for participation in the club cover the entire soccer year. A player who accepts an invitation to play with the Club commits to pay the entire fee for the full soccer year. No refunds, partial or full, will be made to players who choose not to participate at any point after registration for any reason, including players suspended from the program. The only exceptions are (1) In the event that a player has a season ending injury, the board may consider a partial refund after review of records provided by the treating physician or facility and (2) For families that move during the season. The board may consider a partial refund in these circumstances on a case by case basis.

MEDICAL AND RELOCATION REFUND REQUESTS

In the event that a player is injured during the season and cannot play or practice for the remainder of the season, the Board may consider providing a partial refund. Families must submit a written request with a physician note to the registrar.

In the event that a family relocates out of the area during the season the Board may consider a partial refund on a case-by-case basis. Families must submit a written request to the registrar.

Please note that refundable amounts are time-sensitive as costs accrue to the Club for services provided to the team based on player headcount each month. Consequently, the refundable amount will be affected by the date you request the refund, not the date of the event.

COVID-19 REFUND POLICY

COVID-19 is a unique pandemic that has gripped the nation in 2020.  Due to the pandemic, soccer clubs around the nation have had to cancel seasons and adjust to the "new normal."  This new normal turns out to be a rapidly fluctuating set of guidelines that are different in each state and change frequently.

Spring 2020 COVID Decision

With the Spring 2020 season being canceled, the Board of Directors decided to issue prorated credits to all of its currently active Rush members.  The credits can be used toward the 2020-2021 season player fees upon registration.  The prorated credit is based on playing the fall season as well fixed spring season costs such as insurance, affiliation fees, and field maintenance.  The prorated credit amount is based on 100% of the player fees being paid. If you have any questions about the prorated credit, please email [email protected].  Please include the parent's name and player's name with your questions.

Fall 2020 COVID Decision

As of August 15, 2020, soccer is allowed to be played in both Iowa and Illinois, but under different guidelines. Iowa Soccer is under Phase 4 and may play competitive games.  Illinois Youth Soccer is under Level 2 and may only train and scrimmage but not play competitive games. Quad Cities Rush is carded in both Iowa and Illinois and therefore can participate under both guidelines depending on the location of the event.

Players who registered prior to August 1, 2020 and wish to OPT-OUT based on the new guidelines that were issued by Illinois may receive a full refund based on the fees paid to date. Fees may be prorated based on any fees incurred by Quad Cities Rush to include credit card transaction fees, state association fees, Rush franchise fees or other applicable fees. Players have up until the first week of training to make their decision. Players wishing to be released after the deadline will fall under the traditional refund policy in paragraph one above.

High School Boys registering for the season after August 1, 2020 should NOT register if they are not comfortable playing under the current guidelines.  These players had ample opportunity to evaluate the guidelines issued by state associations. Players wishing to be released will fall under the traditional refund policy in paragraph one above.

UNEXPECTED SEASON CANCELLATIONS

In the event that any future season is canceled in some form by either the Iowa Soccer Association, Illinois Youth Soccer Association, Governor of Iowa or the Governor of Illinois, the Board of Directors will take refunds under advisement and make a decision on a case-by-case basis.  Due to the pandemic being a unique and largely unknown phenomenon, we can't have an answer for every situation.  The Board of Directors will evaluate the appropriate credits to be given to Rush families based on a variety of factors to include fees incurred to date by Quad Cities Rush such as transaction fees, insurance, affiliation fees, and field maintenance, as well as any league game fees owed. The Board may issue credits after a full board vote.  Families will be notified in the event this situation arises and action needs to be taken.
