Governor JB Pritzker has issued restrictions on youth sports in Illinois effective August 15. This guidance pertains to all youth and adult recreational sports, including school-based sports, travel clubs, private leagues and clubs, recreational leagues and centers, and park district sports programs. It does not apply to professional sports. Soccer is considered a medium risk sport under this guidance.
Current conditions allow for soccer to be played at Level 1 and 2. This means soccer can continue in a training environment that includes: No-contact practices and trainings + intra-team scrimmages with parent consent.
