COVID Protocols

 

  • Participants should not report to, or be allowed to remain at, work if sick or symptomatic (with cough, shortness of breath or difficulty breathing, fever of 100.4 degrees or above, chills, muscle pain, headache, sore throat, new loss of taste or smell, or other CDC-identified symptoms), and sick or symptomatic employees should be encouraged to seek a COVID-19 test at a state or local government testing center, healthcare center or other testing locations 
  • For non-school-based activities gatherings of up to 50 individuals, indoors or outdoors, are allowed. Multiple groups of 50 are allowed if thirty feet of space is maintained between groups.
  • Temperature checks should be done with a threshold of 100.4 degrees for participants exclusion.
  • Face coverings MUST be worn unless social distancing of 6-feet can be maintained.
  • When exercising outdoors, participants should wear face coverings over their nose and mouth whenever not actively exercising or participating in practices or competition (exceptions can be made for people with medical conditions or disabilities that prevent them from safely wearing a face covering).
  • Athletes must maintain 6ft distancing while on the sidelines/not directly involved in activity.
  • Participants should sanitize hands before participating.
  • Participants need to use their own equipment. No sharing of clothing such as pinnies.
  • Keep athlete bags or equipment 6ft apart.
  • No handshakes, high fives, etc.
  • Spectators must stay outside of the area and are limited to immediate household members.
  • Before allowing participation in sporting activities, coaches should ask whether the participant is currently exhibiting COVID symptoms
  • Coaches must maintain attendance log of participants.
  • Per IYSA rules, teams are limited to 25 players for training and scrimmages. 
  • No competitive play (league games) are allowed in Illinois.
  • Soccer is a Medium Risk sport and is allowed to occur under Level 1 and Level 2 guidelines
  • Temperature checks should be done with a threshold of 100.4 degrees
  • Before allowing participation in the sport, sport organizers or coaches should ask whether participant is currently exhibiting COVID-19 symptoms. If participant does have symptoms, they should wait to enter premises for a minimum of 10 days after symptom onset OR until feverless and feeling well (without fever reducing medication) for at least 24 hours OR confirmed to not have COVID-19 via 2 negative COVID-19 tests in a row, with testing done at least 24 hours apart
  • If a coach, athlete or spectator tests positive, Kelly Sanchez must be notified immediately.  Multiple positives must be reported to IDPH within 1 day.
  • Anyone who has had close contact with someone who tests positive for COVID must quarantine for 14 days and is excluded from our property.
  • Guest players will not be allowed for Fall 2020.
  • Rush players will not be granted permission to guest play outside of the club for Fall 2020.
